Hi there!
I write fiction under various pen names, including Amélie Durand, Esmée Dubois, and Pinchart (as part of the duo Pinchart and Pinchard, which I form with Elio Possoz). Each of my alter egos has a fairly detailed biography, a different wig, and a personality that’s more or less likable. My heteronyms and I are collectively members of the League of Professional Authors, to defend our rights as authors.
I live in Lorient and work as a host at Radio Bro Gwened, a bilingual community radio station with studios in Pontivy and Vannes. My writing can be found in literary, poetry, and science fiction magazines, as well as in my books. I also occasionally give public readings.
When I was creating this website, I had planned to call it www.awful.org, but the domain costs 25,714.02 euros pounds per month. So I looked for other names. There was www.outlandish.com, — nice, and not too expensive — but it lacked that much-sought-after air of seriousness and professionalism. The same went for “www.crustless.com, the website of the writer who eats pizza without the crust”: five euros, but I had a feeling it might close some doors for me.
So I ended up choosing “www.incongrue.com.” The price was reasonable, and in french it means “someone who lacks good manners,” which is exactly my case.
